The primary purpose of the two-day workshop was to identify the quality requirements of guidance services in higher education institutions, the standards, and associated accreditation criteria. It also covered strategies needed to achieve the standards, clarification of the skills to plan guidance services,  and how to evaluate and develop said services.

He addressed the outstanding work and success achieved by the center, and the efforts to achieve psychological and educational stability. He explained what the center offers to students in the field of education, psychology, and the therapeutic field. He also highlighted the most critical programs and services provided by the center among which is the newcomer's introductory program, the prevention of negative behavior awareness program, the dangers of smoking program, and Al-Mutmainoon Campaign for the spread of mental health awareness in the university.

It is worth mentioning that the Guidance and Counselling Center prepares an annual plan for the main programs at the end of the academic year to work in accord with the preceding academic year. The center has a Religious Counseling Unit, Psychological and Educational Counseling Unit, and Social Guidance Unit. These units are distributed over 44 stand-alone work groups in different colleges supervised by a trained faculty member. Notably, the center also includes a group of specialists who oversee cases and follow-up on a continual basis. As set forth in the center's protocols, if a situation requires medical intervention, it is coordinated with specialists in the Psychiatry Department and a transfer is made. Currently, as explained by Dr. Khaddran Suhaimi, the launch of a number of services that will contribute to the development of the center are underway most importantly the Mostashark Application and the Irshad Guidance Application.
