King Khalid University Launches Summer Training Programs with Over 3,000 Student Participants - King Khalid University
King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Student Training and Exchange Unit, launched this year’s summer training program, targeting male and female students from various colleges and academic disciplines. The initiative aims to provide a training environment that enhances students’ practical skills and their ability to apply academic knowledge in real-world settings.
This year’s program includes 14 diverse training tracks implemented in collaboration with international companies, local training institutes, and foreign universities, offered in both in-person and remote formats to boost training quality and expand access. The number of participants exceeded 3,000 students, distributed across the programs according to their specializations, with efforts made to ensure each group receives relevant and appropriate training.
In this regard, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, emphasized that the program is one of the key initiatives adopted by the university to strengthen students’ competencies and prepare them for professional environments that support their career development. He noted that the university is committed to providing high-quality training opportunities that contribute to shaping students' character and developing their skills in line with labor market demands.
He added that the program was carefully designed to align with the unique requirements of each specialization, in terms of both content and training nature. The program distribution was also strategically planned to ensure the desired impact across all target groups. He stressed that the university is continuously working to improve these initiatives to enhance the quality of its academic outcomes and meet students’ aspirations for a promising professional future.
Dr. Al-Qahtani further explained that hands-on experience and field training are fundamental pillars in preparing students. These opportunities allow students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application, while also developing essential skills such as communication, discipline, and professionalism in real work environments—making them highly competitive. He affirmed that investing in student training is one of the most significant aspects of university development, and the deanship is actively working on this through strategic local and international partnerships and meticulous planning that meets the actual needs of academic specializations and professions, offering students realistic opportunities for learning and professional growth.
