Rector launches intellectual awareness unit in the awareness camp in Abha
Within the summer events in Abha for the current year - 1437 AH - His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Salami, has inaugurated the university corner which is placed in the awareness camp. His Excellency Rector Al salami was received at the corner by officials including Dr. Saeed Al bishri, who is the Director of the Cooperative Office for Dawah and Guidance and communities Awareness in Abha, Ali Al qarfi, who is the general supervisor of the Awareness camp, and Dr. Yahya Al-Bakri, who is the general supervisor of the intellectual awareness unit at King Khalid University.
Rector Al Salami used the occasion to explain that the university was honored to participate in that event through the intellectual awareness unit. He said, "The unit sends its awareness messages, which are very important, and also it provides the right preventive methods from deviant ideas and their features and tools, especially at this time which is open to the media that target the youth. We - at King Khalid University - are working to fortify our students from such destructive ideas." The Rector added, "The unit of intellectual awareness aimed at the university and at community service through projects, scientific researches, studies, events, and programs that address the causes of extremism, its influences, and its manifestations. Furthermore, the Unit contributes to strengthening loyalty and patriotic values inside youth under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God preserve him - and the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, and the Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz."
In the same framework, His Excellency Rector Al salami, inaugurated the accounts of intellectual awareness unit on the social networking sites. Then, the Rector listened to a detailed explanation about the camp which looks forward to reflecting the national side for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the message of rulers and scholars in maintaining the minds of young people and in highlighting the capabilities of this country.
It is noteworthy that the intellectual awareness unit at King Khalid University will hold a seminar on intellectual security, to be presented by among others, the supervisor of the unit of intellectual awareness, Dr. Yahya Al-Bakri, Dr. Saleh Abu Arad, who is the Director of the unit of Educational Research at the Faculty of Education, and Dr. Ahmed Al Mer'a, the Dean of the Community College, who is also the chairman of Abha Literary Club. Also, there will be another seminar on social media and its impact on intellectual security for youth. The seminar will be managed by Dr. Misfer Abu Debeil, and will be presented by the Vice President of the coordinating Council of Charity in Asir, Mr. Ali Hassan Asiri, and the membership of Dr. Abdullah Al Mohaya.
