University President Attends the 3rd Programing Competition’s Closing Ceremony

Under the patronage of His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, King Khalid University Concluded it’s3rd Programing Competition which  is held under the supervision of the College of Computer Science in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs.

 

In his speech in the closing ceremony His Excellency stressed that the university will always support student development programs and competitions , he also commended the efforts and work that went in organizing and carrying out the competition. Al Solami, also stressed the support and attention the Kingdom devotes to  solving  problems through technology which is apparent in every national body and agency around the kingdom and not limited only to the ministry of Education. He then added “ we aspire that our students whom have won this year’s competition and those in the future to compete in national and internationally and to achieve the highest ranks.

The Dean of the College of Computer Science, supervisor the competition, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad AlGharoui, delivered a speech during the closing ceremony in which he explained that the number of participants in the competition were 84 students represented in 28 teams  from 8 different colleges. Al Gharoui added, that the competition aims to offer university students the opportunity to showcase their skills in solving programming problems, expand  their knowledge, and qualify them for future roles in addition to enhancing their  spirit of innovation, creativity, competition and teamwork among them which aligns  with the university’s goals and vision.

It's worth noting, that His Excellency  the President of the University handed the winning  team the competition Cup and His Excellency Award for programming, he also honored the finalists.
