
University Hosts Academic Delegation from Islamic University to Enhance Cooperation and Exchange Expertise - King Khalid University
King Khalid University hosted an academic delegation from the Islamic University of Madinah at the University City in Al-Fara’a. This official visit aimed to enhance avenues of cooperation and exchange expertise between the two universities in the educational, academic, and institutional development fields.
The Islamic University delegation was headed by Dr. Abdullah Mahfouz Al-Shinqiti, Vice President for Academic Affairs. They were received by Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, Vice President for Educational Affairs at King Khalid University, alongside a number of vice deans and deans of colleges and specialized departments from both sides, with the aim of fostering academic communication channels and expanding cooperation horizons.
During the meeting, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Sulami, welcomed the Islamic University delegation. He stressed that mutual academic visits represent one of the most important tools for development and advancing the university environment, as they allow for the exchange of best practices, learning about successful experiences, and strengthening partnerships with various sectors, academic bodies, and related companies. His Excellency pointed to the importance of dedicating available efforts and resources to enhance academic and institutional development, thereby contributing to raising the quality of programs and empowering students and academic staff, looking forward to expanding areas of cooperation between the two universities in the next phase.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Mahfouz Al-Shinqiti expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to King Khalid University for the warm reception, praising the advanced academic and administrative system he witnessed, along with the unique experiences in curriculum development, digital transformation, quality assurance, and academic accreditation.
Al-Shinqiti affirmed that the achievements and initiatives reviewed by the university represent a national model that can be built upon to enhance partnerships among Saudi universities, looking forward to crystallizing joint programs and projects that contribute to serving students and the educational system.
The meeting included a review of King Khalid University's Strategy 2030, its achievements in international rankings, and its unique programs for improving the quality of educational outcomes. Both parties also discussed the universities' experiences in curricula, quality and academic accreditation, international rankings, educational digital transformation, operation of halls and labs, in addition to student exchange initiatives and joint academic programs.
The visit also included specialized meetings for working groups, which resulted in cementing future cooperation opportunities, defining joint coordination mechanisms, and measurable and applicable implementation paths, thus contributing to improving the educational environment, supporting students' readiness, empowering academic staff, and enhancing the two universities’ presence and role in supporting national development.
