His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Sulami, welcomed the President of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), Dr. Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Saleh, and the accompanying delegation in his office at the University City in Al-Fara'a.
The reception was attended by the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed Dajam, and the Dean of Development and Quality, Prof. Salem bin Ahmed Al-Qarni. During the meeting, they discussed avenues of cooperation in the field of academic accreditation and quality enhancement, and reviewed the University's developmental efforts in programs, curricula, and modern educational infrastructure.
His Excellency welcomed the visiting delegation, emphasizing the University's keenness to continue its effective partnership with ETEC and its role in supporting the continuous improvement of academic programs and the development of institutional performance. His Excellency pointed out that the University is constantly working to align its programs with best practices and build an integrated academic environment that enhances the quality of education and its outcomes.
For his part, the President of ETEC expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by King Khalid University in developing its educational system, affirming that the Commission views the University as a key partner in the national quality improvement track. He also commended the distinctive projects and academic initiatives he reviewed that contribute to enhancing program efficiency and achieving high learning outcomes.
Following this, an extended meeting was held, which included members of the University Council and the ETEC delegation. Attendees watched a visual presentation highlighting the key milestones in King Khalid University's development and its achievements in education, research, innovation, quality, and digital transformation. ETEC also presented an introductory overview of its work in academic accreditation and its role in supporting universities in their quality improvement and development journeys.
The meeting witnessed the signing of the Framework Agreement for Academic Accreditation, which stipulated the accreditation of 40 academic programs at the University, signed by both His Excellency the President of King Khalid University and the President of ETEC. The Executive Agreements for the accreditation of 16 academic programs were also signed. The Vice President for Educational Affairs, Professor Dr. Saad bin Mohammed Da'ajim, signed on behalf of King Khalid University, while the Executive Director of the Accreditation Center, Dr. Mohammed Bashamakh, signed on behalf of the center, completing the accreditation stages according to national standards.
The visit concluded with a field tour of the University's facilities, which included a number of its development projects. The delegation reviewed a comprehensive presentation of the components of the University City and its modern infrastructure that supports the educational and research environment. The tour also included a visit to the Central Library, designed according to the latest international standards, where the University showcased the knowledge and digital resources it provides to enhance the learning experience and support academic innovation.
