Back to School Motivational Guide
King Khalid University represented by the Psychological Observatory at the Experts House of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, recently issued a motivational guide entitled “ Managing back to school in the shadow of Corona,”. The guide addresses a number of scientific and applied evidence directed to parents and educators, guiding them to a safe healthy return to schools environment, in light of the corona virus.
The guide offers a summary of the main and expected psychological reactions of children and adolescents and their impressions about returning to school in light of the Corona pandemic. It also includes a number of specialized psychological, social and educational recommendations, in addition to recommendations for emergency symptoms related to panic attacks and psychological anxiety about returning.
The director of the Psychological Consultant Experience House, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maree Al-Qahtani, explained that the study comes within frame of an “experts” initiatives to raise awareness and community attention to reduce the effects of (Covid-19), pointing that the guide includes students in the preparatory levels , primary levels , in addition to the intermediate and secondary levels.
Regarding parents and educators, Al-Qahtani confirms that the guide includes a number of topics related to all targeted stages, which will contribute to the students integration between their home and their school, to prepare students for return and continue to support their gradual integration into the educational process.
