King Khalid University hosted a delegation of senior government officials from Bangladesh at the University's campus in Abha. His Excellency President of King Khalid University, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, received His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Javed Patwary, Bangladesh's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with members from his team to discuss academic and educational cooperation between the two friendly countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Solamy welcomed Ambassador Patwary, briefing him on the University's vision and mission, colleges and departments, academic programs, research, and community roles. President Al-Solamy highlighted several ambitious projects and plans dedicated to providing distinguished service for international students, expressing the desire to open prospects for academic cooperation with Bangladeshi research and academic institutions. Ambassador Patwary said that his country is keen to consolidate ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the educational and academic level, noting his appreciation to King Khalid University for the warm welcome and interest in the well-being of international students.

Of note, plans for communication procedures between and among the General Administration of Scholarship Students, Bangladeshi students, and the embassy of Bangladeshi in Riyadh were agreed to at the end of the meeting.
