Professor Al-Huwaimel Leads Literary Meeting at King Khalid University
The Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities organized an open scientific meeting on 8th of Safar with Prof. Dr. Hassan bin Fahad Al-Huwaimel, professor of graduate studies at Qassim University, in the presence of a number of guests, faculty members, and students at the university's main campus.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Murei, assistant professor at the Department of Arabic language and Literature, briefed the guests and attendees on the speaker's background and specialty and welcomed him to the university.
Al-Huwaimel spoke about the relationship among educators, the curriculum, and the interactive lecture model that integrates all three through increased interactivity. He referred to scientific research in the field of graduate studies, stressing that researchers should focus on the culture of the curriculum and not the restrictions around it noting that the exchange of views between students and educators adds positively to the process of learning and encourages a more active method of education.
Al-Huwaimel spoke on his personal experience. He remarked, 'Hassan Huwaimel was made by others', stressing that the people who have impacted his life the most are those who have exposed him to different views and concepts, emphasizing that he has learned more from them than any class or lecture.
At the end of the meeting, Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Department, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tihani, thanked Professor Al-Huwaimel for his visit and informative talk that will contribute to the support and development of researchers and students in the university.
Professor Al-Huwaimel will be a guest of honor on Wednesday evening at the 15th Annual Book Fair where he will deliver a lecture titled 'Paper and Electronic Book Identities'.
