The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by Dr. Sahar Rafdan Al-Shahrani, Dean of the College of Nursing in Abha, while the Saudi Nursing Society was represented by its Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Mohammed Gharam Allah Al-Ghamdi. The agreement seeks to expand cooperation between academic institutions and professional associations and support educational and training programs designed to prepare nursing students and develop their professional skills.
Al-Shahrani explained that the agreement reflects the University's efforts to strengthen professional partnerships and advance nursing education and training. She highlighted the importance of collaborating with specialized organizations to provide educational and training opportunities that develop the skills of students and graduates, enhance their readiness for the labor market, and contribute to preparing academically and professionally qualified nursing personnel.
She noted that the areas of cooperation include developing educational and training programs and organizing joint conferences, workshops, and scientific and professional events. These activities will provide students with broader opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills, connect educational outcomes with professional practice, and strengthen their ability to meet workplace requirements across various nursing specialties.
She added that the agreement also includes supporting joint scientific research and studies, encouraging student participation in scientific, professional, and volunteer activities, and implementing community initiatives and awareness programs aimed at promoting health literacy and raising awareness of disease prevention. These initiatives will also enable students to contribute to community service through their nursing specialization.
