Group Iftar in the University Community College

In the presence of His Excellency, the Acting President of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Marei Bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, and of the Dean of the Community College, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Merra, and a number of deans, the community college in Khamis Mushayt has arranged yesterday, Iftar meal. Families of the College employees, and teaching and administrative staff, participated in the preparation of the meal.

The event is the first of its kind at the university level, and the holders are determined to make it an annual tradition during the month of Ramadan in the coming years, God willing.

Dr. Ali Al-Marzouk, the person responsible of the event, said that there were objectives of holding such social activity including activating social relations between the employees of the college, and to learn about the customs and traditions of the faculty members who represent different nationalities, in addition to changing the daily routine of academic work during the holy month. He said, "The meal had different Ramadan dishes from some Arab and Islamic countries such as Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India, in addition to local Ramadan dishes."
