University and the Secretariat of Asir discuss urgent projects

In pursuit of the university to provide services for the convenience of its employees in the University City and academic complexes as well, the University has recently held a meeting with the secretariat of the Asir region. The purpose of the meeting was to check some of the projects that the University needs from the Secretariat. Projects covered courses, roads maintenance, which will contribute to the smooth flow of traffic, and the delivery of municipal services around, as well as the improvement of the surrounding areas.

At the meeting, the following dignities have represented the University; His Excellency the Vice President in charge of health specialties, Prof. Khalid bin Jelban, His Excellency the Vice President for Projects, Dr. Mohammed Al Dahem, as well as managers of the relevant departments. From the side of the secretariat, is a team made up of the Under-Secretary for projects and reconstruction, the General Manager of strategic projects, and the General Manager of supervision and implementation, all in attendance at the meeting.

During the meeting, attendees discussed finding solutions to the roundabout of the Secretariat which is next to the academic complex in Mahallh, to the roundabout of A ta'won road in the University City in Abha, to the maintenance of roads and the work of sidewalks and installation of lighting columns, as well as finding alternative roads and streets to facilitate smooth flow of traffic leading to the complexes. Other projects are the completion of the fence of the academic complex in Lassan, and the raising to the Emirate of Asir region to make the projects of the roads leading to the University City in Alfraa and the surrounding area of the priorities of projects because students will move to it soon. In addition, there should be the speeding up of the allocation procedures of land granted to the University in the provinces.
