King Khalid University's Media Department Highlights its Programs and Initiatives at FOMEX Exhibition in Riyadh

King Khalid University, represented by the Department of Media and Communication, participated as an academic partner in the Future of Media Exhibition "FOMEX", which was held as part of the activities of the "Saudi Media Forum 2024" in its third edition, organized by the General Authority for Radio and Television in cooperation with the Saudi Journalists Association, in Riyadh.

Dr. Ali Al-Zaher Al-Qahtani, Head of the Department of Media and Communication at King Khalid University, said that the department's participation in the "FOMEX" exhibition reflects its continuous aspiration for innovation and leadership in the fields of media and communication. He added that the Department of Media and Communication is one of the leading departments in the university, as it strives to develop students' skills and empower them to achieve their professional and academic goals in various media and communication fields.

The university's pavilion highlighted the department's programs, which include journalism and digital editing, strategic communication, radio and television, in addition to master's programs in crisis communication, tourism media, and television journalism, as well as the interdisciplinary master's program in language and media. These programs are characterized by providing a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking and innovation.

The pavilion also highlighted the department's special focus on practical application, by providing opportunities for learning and training in cooperation with leading media institutions and companies. This aims to enable students to gain practical experience and build strong professional relationships that will guide them in their future career path.

Visitors praised the academic and training programs offered by the department, and expressed their interest in its programs and activities, as well as its distinguished contribution to developing society and qualifying media and communication cadres to keep up with the modern challenges in the world of media and communication.
