University Organizes Programs to Commemorate International Day for Mental Health
King Khalid University's Committee for Students' Mental Health Promotion organized an event commemorating the International Day for Mental Health. "Mental Health is a Human Right"; was the title of the event which was attended by the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam; at the College of Sharia' and Fundamentals of Religion.
The event included a variety of programs and activities, such as workshops, consultations, a theatrical performance, and an accompanying exhibition.
Across two evenings, the Deanship for Students' Affairs held talks to raise awareness on the matter. Experts were invited to discuss mental health-related topics, including mental flexibility, mental capital, self-improvement, postpartum, trauma, women's modern challenges, and the obstacles of seeking therapy. The experts also discussed academic pressure, empathy, and popular mental health myths.
