University President Welcomes Ambassador of Norway to Saudi Arabia

His Excellency, President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja'allah Al-Solami, welcomed the ambassador of Norway to Saudi Arabia, Thomas Lid Ball, yesterday morning in his office at the University City in Al-Fara'a.

In their meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interest, His Excellency presented a brief introduction about the university and its 2030 strategies coinciding with the Developmental Strategy of Asir Region, "Qimam and Sheyam".

In the presence of the Vice President of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdo'a Al Qarni, His Excellency discussed the scope of cooperation between the university, its counterparts, and Norwegian Research Centers in the certified primary fields of research according to the university's strategic plan, and building exceptional research partnerships in the fields of environment, tourism, and natural products. The expansion of collaboration was  discussed, to include fields of training and student exchange programs, and a plethora of other areas of mutual interest.

Concluding the meeting, his Excellency presented a memorial shield to the guest commemorating his visit to the university.
