King Khalid University Signs Cooperation Agreement with the National Center for Environmental Compliance

King Khalid University signed a cooperation agreement with the National Center for Environmental Compliance. The agreement states that the two parties join to work towards protecting the environment, preserving its resources and providing services of high quality and flexibility through integration with various sectors.

Dr. Rahma Al-Shahrani, Director of the Prince Sultan Center for Research, Environmental Studies and Tourism, represented King Khalid University at the signing of the agreement, while the Director General of the Center's branch in the southern region, Fawaz bin Saeed Al Mithel, represented the Environmental Compliance Center branch in signing the agreement.

The agreement aims to carry out the kingdom’s goal of improving the quality of life. It also seeks to join efforts in preparing and implementing academic environmental programs as well as preparing environmental professional certificates with a license from the national center.  Further, the agreement states providing the necessary support through the university’s laboratories and facilities according to agreed standards, and cooperating in spreading awareness about environmental compliance through the university's electronic platforms, publications, and student clubs.

The agreement also includes cooperation in the field of organizing courses, scientific seminars, workshops, events, and activities that have a positive impact on the environment and incorporating student volunteer work within these activities.
