University Vice President for Educational Affairs Launches Computing & Informatics Scientific Forum

In the presence of Dr. Ali Al Karoui, Dean of the College of Computer Science, King Khalid University Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajem, attended the launch of the Scientific Forum for Postgraduate Studies in Computing and Informatics, which was organized by the College at the university city in Al-Fara’a, to highlight students' research in the fields of data science, cybersecurity, and Computer Science.

According to Dr. Areej Muhammad Al-Asiri, Vice Dean of the College of Computer Science for Research and Graduate Studies, graduate students from master's programs in data science, cyber security, computer science, and information systems attended the forum. Further, a competition for the most promising project in 30 research projects and scientific studies was organized and voted on by faculty members and students.

The forum concluded with Ibn Dajem honoring three projects, which received the majority of votes: Performance Enhancement of the Neural Network via Weight Configuration based on Logistic Regression: An Experimental Study took 1st place, Early Diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease by Speech Signals Using Deep Learning Techniques received 2nd place, and High Ability to Mask Reversible Data in Coded Images Based on Pixel Prediction and Quadruple Dissociation Project secured 3rd place.
