To find your internal device IP address (IPv4):

  1. Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar (bottom of the screen, next to the clock).

  2. Select "Open Network & Internet Settings".

  3. On the new page, click on "Properties" or "View connection properties" (depending on your version).

  4. Look for the line containing the IPv4 address – the number next to it is your device's IP address.

Steps to Reset or Change the Password for King Khalid University Account (KKU):

  1. Go to the Main Electronic Services Portal of King Khalid University: from here

  2. From the homepage, select the Password Change Service.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset or change your password.

  4. When choosing a new password, it is recommended to include the following:

  • Uppercase and lowercase letters (e.g., A and a)

  • Numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 3)

  • Special characters (e.g., @, #, !)

  1. After completing the process, the password will be successfully updated and can be used across all university services.

Steps to Activate Microsoft 365 using University Email (KKU):

  1. Go to the Microsoft Office services page through the university website using the following link: from here
  2. Click the Sign in button.
  3. Enter your university email (e.g., yourID@kku.edu.sa), then click Next.
  4. Enter your university account password, then click Sign in.
  5. Once signed in successfully, your Microsoft 365 subscription will be activated automatically.
  6. You can now access the following services:
    • Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (web and desktop versions).
    • Cloud storage service: OneDrive.

Steps to Reset Phone Network Settings (KKU):

  1. Disconnect the network cable from the phone.
  2. While reconnecting the network cable, press and hold the # key on the phone keypad.
  3. After the phone powers on, enter the numbers from 1 to # in sequence:
    • 1
    • 2
    • 3
    • ...
    •  
  4. The network settings reset process will begin automatically.
  5. Wait for the process to complete. The phone will reboot with the default network settings.

Steps to Resolve Printer Issues (KKU):

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on and properly connected to electricity.

  2. Check that the printer cable (USB or network) is properly connected to the device.

  3. Inspect the paper status inside the printer and make sure there is enough paper and no paper jams.

  4. Verify the ink or toner levels.

  5. If the issue persists:

    • Restart the computer.

    • Restart the printer.

Steps to Resolve Computer Slowness (KKU):

  1. Restart the computer to refresh performance and clear temporary memory.

  2. Close unnecessary programs running in the background and not currently in use.

  3. Use system tools to clean the hard drive:

    • Open "Disk Cleanup".

    • Select the desired drive and delete temporary and unnecessary files.
