Supervisor of the Scholarship Administration Dr. Yahya bin Ali Al-Muraie Mobile: 0554141462 Email: yaasseri@kku.edu.sa

Since the university's establishment in 1419 AH, a specialized administration for scholarship affairs was created. Through this administration, scholarship policies are implemented, and the university's scholarship recipients are served both domestically and abroad. This administration was named the Scholarship Administration due to the importance and status of scholarships at King Khalid University. This administration is affiliated with the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and the General Supervisor of this administration reports directly to the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

The Scholarship Administration at the university serves as a liaison between the colleges and their academic departments, or the various administrative departments within the university, and the Saudi cultural attachés in different countries of study abroad. This is achieved through the necessary administrative procedures to deliver what the scholarship recipient needs to their college or department, as well as what the colleges or departments need to convey to their scholarship recipients. This administration also monitors the scholarship recipient at their study location through the cultural attachés to track their academic progress and take any measures necessary to achieve the desired goal of their scholarship. The tasks of the Scholarship Administration are summarized as follows:

  • Developing annual plans, in cooperation with colleges and academic departments, to qualify teaching assistants and lecturers before their scholarships.

  • Ensuring the application of scholarship regulations and guidelines in all matters related to scholarship applications at the university.

  • Preparing databases of scholarship recipients in cooperation with colleges, academic departments, and relevant administrative departments.

  • Monitoring the status of scholarship recipients in cooperation with colleges and academic departments.

  • Following up on the implementation of the strategic goals of scholarships by the colleges.

  • Conducting internal benchmarking between colleges regarding the implementation of mechanisms to achieve strategic goals.

  • Organizing annual forums, workshops, and training courses to achieve scholarship objectives.

  • Developing mechanisms to enhance the presence of scholarship recipients within the university community and transfer their experiences to the university.

  • Working with the International and Local Cooperation Administration regarding international agreements and partnerships related to scholarships.

  • Cooperating with other relevant administrations in matters that serve the interest of scholarships.

  • Measuring the achievement of the strategic goals of scholarships at the end of each year.

  • Preparing annual studies and reports related to the progress of scholarships and submitting them to the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

Vision:

To shape the university's academic and professional future by qualifying and sending teaching assistants and lecturers on scholarships to international universities and following up with them to return as distinguished academic and professional professors.

Mission:

To qualify teaching assistants and lecturers before their scholarships, in cooperation with academic departments and colleges, to enable them to enroll in distinguished international universities, and to follow up with them during their scholarship period in a way that contributes to achieving the university's strategy and ensures their return as effective and distinguished academic and professional professors.

Objectives:

  • To qualify teaching assistants and lecturers before their scholarships, in cooperation with academic departments and colleges, and to motivate them to pursue scholarships at prestigious international universities.

  • To monitor scholarship recipients during their scholarship period and assist them with their needs and connect them with the university community.

  • To develop electronic services to facilitate communication between scholarship recipients and the administration and university colleges, in order to ensure excellence in performance.
