Under the mandate of the Higher Education Council's temporary committee, the Deanship of Faculty and Staff Affairs has been renamed to the Deanship of Human Resources. King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy issued his approval on the decision and directed the restructuring of the Deanship of Human Resources in accord with its remit.
Dean of Human Resources, Prof. Mohammed Al-Buhairi, said: "This shift from the concept of personnel to the concept of human resources is another step within King Khalid University's administrative renewal. It will help the university keep pace with national and global changes in the field of human resources." This decision comes in line with the issuance of the new regulation of human resources, which was recently launched by the Ministry of Civil Service. Our remit will include new tasks and broader powers in the planning of human resources. By focusing on performance levels and improvement set forth in the strategic plan of the university, we will maximize the utilization of human capital."
According to the new structure of the Deanship of Human Resources, there will be four Vice Deanships as follows:
