Looking forward to facilitating traffic movement in the University City in Abha, King Khalid University has began, based on the approval of the Coordination traffic Council in Asir region, the implementation of the pilot phase to create one-way tracks for the employees of the university. It starts from the south and then the direction to the east directing to the northern area, to spread vehicular traffic, especially with regard to the students, to the parks that are available on these streets. Thus, the university calls upon all its employees to obey the rules because it will create a better traffic flow.
The University Vice - President in charge, Prof. Khalid Al jelban has explained that the university was keen to develop innovative and comprehensive plans to achieve the desired success with the start of the new academic year, including traffic jams, and in compliance with the guidance of His Excellency, the Rector, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Salamy. Prof Al jelban said, "With the start of the new school year, and in light of the increasing number of students, it has become necessary to exert much effort to develop a plan that contributes to mitigating traffic jams around the university." Prof Al Jelban added that all potential would be harnessed to the success of the traffic flow, to serve the students and employees of the university.
In the same context, the university has allocated modern buses for the frequency transportation from the external parks to inside the university campus throughout the school day. The university seeks through this action to save student's time and effort, and to decrypt traffic jams at the beginning of the school year. Bus tracks were determined, so as to include all Facilities of the University and facilities, including deanships.
