His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, has welcomed the secondary stage students, saying, "Soon, you will be within the constellation of this generous university." This assertion came yesterday, during His Excellency's sponsorship of the annual exhibition of Admission and Registration that is organized annually by the deanship of Admission and Registration, in collaboration with Directing and Academic Guidance Unit at the Deanship of student Affairs. The exhibition was attended by the Assistant General Director of Education in Asir region, Mr. Saad Al-Jouni, and students of the third grade in the secondary stage of the area.
Rector Al Dawood Indicated that the Admission and Registration Deanship carried out that induction meeting and the accompanying exhibition due to its belief in the importance of introducing sufficient and adequate information to the students who are joining the university in the next academic year. His Excellency the Rector told the students, "You are about to experience a totally different stage in your life, which is different from your previous experience in junior education. You will be the student and the guardian at the same time; you will be responsible for every act at this stage, so it is important to be aware of it and of its importance"
In turn, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Sultan Al Farah, reported that the annual exhibition, which was hosted by the university, aims at familiarizing the third grade secondary school students on the specialties that are available at the university, and the mechanisms and conditions of admission, with some important alerts that guide them in their lives and in seeking for admission at university.
For his part, the Assistant General Director of Education in Asir region, Mr. Saad Al-Jouni, stressed that the effective partnership between the Department of Education in Asir, represented in this blessed exhibition, which serves the third grade secondary school students and a large audience for our students, demonstrates the importance of this exhibition and the students' need of it.
It is worth mentioning that the annual exhibition of admission is the first of its kind at the university level, in which the university colleges display their specializations. Moreover, the exhibition aims to build bridges for effective communication with the third-grade secondary school students, and their schools in preparation for joining the university. In the exhibition, college's specializations that prepare high school students to work in after graduation were displayed in ways that are commensurate with their preferences and desires. Thus, the students will be able to choose the department and the specialization that are relevant with their abilities, and that will enable them to innovate and achieve excellence.
