King Khalid University Vice - President of Educational Affairs Dr. Mohammed Al-Hassoun has inaugutated the 3rd exhibition for Faculty of Computer Science graduates' projects Day, for the second semester of the current academic year. The inauguration was in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Dr. Abdullah Alraba in addition to a considerable number of the faculty members and students. Dr. Al-Hassoun was briefed on a detailed explanation of the projects, which are 50 projects in number, by the graduates. The projects are in different departments of the Faculty for male and female students, and they - the projects - have new creative ideas that indeed meet a number of community needs.
For his part, Dr. Alraba thanked the Vice - President of Educational Affairs as he accepted the invitation to attend and sponsor the Projects Day. Dr. Alraba also thanked the Rector of King Khalid University Prof Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, who is the main supporter of projects and the sections of the college. Dr. Alraba further said, "The Rector allocated to us financial advance to cover the expenses of the projects, to help the students and their supervisors to carry out pioneering projects the University would be proud of". He explained that the college was working on the registration of the students' distinctive and new innovations in King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology. Dr. Alraba stated that some projects of the last semester were registered in order to preserve the students' rights.
For his part, the Vice - President for Academic Affairs expressed his happiness and pride on what he saw in the exhibition of projects, saying, "Such leading projects which are presented by the students of the University are a great pleasure. It proved that the Faculty is working according to well-prepared plans which encourage the students to innovate" The Rector further thanked the Deanship and all of its employees, as well as the students who appeared, at the exhibition in an honorable way.
It is noteworthy that there are many distinctive projects, notably the project to control the imaging Quartet aircraft used in wind storms, which will serve border security operation. They can send, through the plane, the coordinates of the sites for any control center for the benefit of security.
