King Khalid University continued the activities of its third program in Tehama Asir, which is being held under the auspices of the Governor of Asir region, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz.
The second day of the program witnessed a large turnout of visitors (citizens and residents). Moreover, there were rows of successive visits by school students, in order to see for themselves the pavilions and the events accompanying the program, as well as to take advantage of the medical clinics which are located and available at the site.
The total number of cases that have been examined has so far reached 812 by the second morning. Details of cases included 200 received by the clinics of the Faculty of Medicine, while the number of cases received by clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry exceeded 247 cases. 20 of them have been transferred to the Headquarters of dental clinics in the University city in Abha, due to seriousness of the cases, and their need for additional examinations. The number of cases of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences reached nearly 310 cases; these include cases that needed physical therapy, diabetes, high cholesterol, in addition to the special functions of the kidney. As well, Health Care Association has been providing services in collaboration with the University optimal clinic; where 55 cases received needed examinations.
