On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Universities Affairs Council, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Professor Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Sulami, chaired the ninth meeting of the University Council today, Wednesday. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Universities Affairs Council, Professor Dr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Aqili, along with the members of the University Council.
Professor Dr. Hamed bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Secretary of the University Council, explained that the Council reviewed the items on its agenda and issued several resolutions. These included approving the updated scholarship regulations and policies of the university, as well as adopting the organizational guide for the university's Educational Scholarship Program.
The Council also approved the recommendations of the Council of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services regarding several contracts for the implementation of a number of projects. In addition, it approved a donation from Al-Birr Association in Abha to support the Educational Scholarship Program for the university's male and female students, as well as a donation from the Farhan bin Al-Mubarak Al-Qahtani Foundation to support the project for supplying, installing, and maintaining equipment for the Infertility and Fertility Center at the University Medical City.
The resolutions also included approval of requests submitted by several faculty members concerning the renewal of service engagements, academic communication activities, and the transfer of services.
