Students from King Khalid University concluded their volunteer participation in serving the guests of Rahman (pilgrims) during this year's Hajj season 1447 AH, following the contribution of 41 male and female volunteers in providing a number of health, field, and awareness services to serve pilgrims, under the supervision of the General Department of Volunteering and Community Partnership and in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs.
The Supervisor of the General Department of Volunteering and Community Partnership at the university, Dr. Mesfer bin Mohammed Al-Asmari, explained that 41 male and female volunteers from the university's students participated in volunteer work during this year's Hajj season, representing the colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Applied Medical Sciences.
Al-Asmari pointed out that their participation was distributed across several services, including dealing with heat exhaustion and heatstroke, taking vital signs, directing pilgrims to centers, providing first aid services, in addition to supporting medical teams, assisting the elderly, health education, and deploying across the Holy Sites.
The contribution of the volunteer students to this year's Hajj activities embodies the university's eagerness to support the efforts made in serving the guests of Rahman, enhancing the culture of volunteer work, and consolidating the values of community and national responsibility among the students.
