King Khalid University signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture as part of strengthening institutional partnerships and integrating efforts in scientific research and development, contributing to sustainability and human resource development.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the university by the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamed bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, while the ministry was represented by the Deputy Minister for Environment, Dr. Osama bin Ibrahim Faqeeha.
The agreement aims to enhance joint cooperation in environmental, water, and agricultural fields, and to integrate efforts in scientific research and development in a manner that supports sustainability and the development of natural resources.
Areas of cooperation include implementing specialized awareness and training programs that contribute to building capacities in green skills and sustainability, in addition to planning and implementing joint initiatives that support environmental sustainability goals.
The agreement also includes organizing specialized scientific events in sustainability and green skills, exchanging expertise and best practices to enhance environmental awareness and capacity building, in addition to supporting joint scientific research, developing innovative solutions to environmental challenges, and exchanging relevant scientific data and publications.
