King Khalid University, represented by the Intellectual Awareness Unit, hosted today, Wednesday, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Saeed Al Awad Al-Asiri, former Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Lebanon and Pakistan, as part of a meeting titled “The Responsibility of Saudi Scholarship Students in Representing the Homeland,” in the presence of the University President, Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al-Solamy, and a number of university staff members.
The meeting was held within the framework of enhancing intellectual awareness and developing a sense of national responsibility, in light of the pivotal role scholarship students play in conveying an honorable image of the Kingdom and contributing to building bridges of cultural communication with various peoples and cultures.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Asiri reviewed his rich experience in study and scholarship, along with situations that contributed to shaping his professional and national awareness, emphasizing that the Saudi scholarship student is considered an ambassador for his homeland, carrying its values and culture and reflecting its identity in various international forums.
The meeting also addressed the role of scholarship students in strengthening national identity through commitment to values and principles and striving to represent the homeland in the best possible manner, reflecting the true image of the Kingdom and embodying its position at both regional and international levels.
The meeting was moderated by Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Murai, General Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the university, and witnessed remarkable interaction from the attendees, who enriched the discussion with their contributions and inquiries within the framework of enhancing the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
