The event took place at the University Hospital in the University City in Al-Far’a.
This initiative comes in alignment with the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – and as an extension of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir Region and Chairman of its Development Authority. During the inauguration, His Excellency, accompanied by the Director General of Technical and Vocational Training in the Asir Region, reviewed the readiness of the donation sites through a field tour in the Medical City in Al-Far’a. The tour included the blood bank and donation sites, in addition to meeting staff and donors, reflecting the integration of efforts to ensure the success of the campaign and achieve its objectives.
In the same context, the campaign was also launched at the University of Bisha, where a blood donation drive was organized at the university headquarters in the presence of its President, Prof. Mohammed bin Mohsen Safhi, along with several university leaders and staff, as part of enhancing social responsibility and promoting a culture of humanitarian work.
It is worth noting that the campaign will continue at King Khalid University from May 3 to May 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the University City in Al-Far’a, either through the Blood Bank at the University Hospital or via the mobile blood donation unit located next to the University Oasis.
