Under the patronage of the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, King Khalid University, represented by the Saudi Scientific Society for Teachers (Jusm), is organizing the Third International Conference under the theme “The Teacher and Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” during 15–16 April, at the Exhibition and Conference Center in the University City in Al-Faraa.
The President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami, expressed his appreciation for the patronage of the Minister of Education, noting that the conference coincides with the Year of Artificial Intelligence, and reflects the educational system’s commitment to keeping pace with rapid technological transformations and enhancing the use of artificial intelligence in developing education and improving its outcomes.
The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Hamed bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, stated that the conference is part of a series of scientific programs organized by the university, emphasizing its importance in promoting academic activity and keeping up with scientific and technological developments in the education sector.
The Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Scientific Society for Teachers and Head of the Scientific Committee, Prof. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Kasi, explained that the conference will feature over two days a series of discussion sessions, scientific panels, and accompanying workshops aimed at highlighting the central role of the teacher in the age of artificial intelligence, empowering them professionally, and developing their digital skills. It will also address the use of artificial intelligence applications in improving the quality of education and its outcomes, analyzing their impact on learners, discussing ethical aspects, and building future visions to support sustainable education and provide practical solutions to challenges in implementing artificial intelligence in education.
He added that the conference will address key themes such as the role of the teacher in the age of artificial intelligence, its relationship to education quality, mechanisms for preparing teachers for the future, the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on learners and their ethics, innovation in AI-supported education, and the partnership between technology and education to advance the educational system.
