His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Professor Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami, inaugurated yesterday, Sunday, the "Internal Auditor" program, implemented by the Deanship of Development and Quality in partnership with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), in the presence of the University Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam. The initiative aligns with the university’s strategic direction toward developing institutional excellence frameworks and enhancing their practical applications.
The program’s launch represents an extension of the university’s efforts to develop the capacities of its national workforce by qualifying internal auditors equipped with the skills to apply institutional excellence standards, analyze performance, and identify improvement opportunities based on scientifically validated methodologies. This approach supports building an institutional environment founded on efficiency and sustainability.
The program contributes to supporting institutional self-assessment practices, enhancing performance efficiency, and activating evidence-based decision-making tools, in alignment with the university’s strategic objectives, and raising its competitive readiness at both national and international levels.
Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Hadi Al-Ghamdi, Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality at King Khalid University, explained that the program’s launch represents an advanced stage in developing excellence practices within the university. It builds institutional capacities capable of conducting self-assessment efficiently, managing performance indicators professionally, and converting assessment results into actionable development initiatives.
He noted that the program embodies the university’s approach to embedding work methodologies based on continuous analysis and evaluation, reflecting positively on output quality, performance efficiency, and readiness to meet institutional excellence and accreditation requirements.
Additionally, the Deanship of Development and Quality continues to implement specialized initiatives aimed at empowering academic and administrative units, establishing an integrated system supporting institutional excellence, and contributing to achieving the university’s strategic objectives.
