His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, witnessed the Founding Day 2026 exhibition and events. Organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with several university entities, the event took place at the Exhibition and Conference Center at the University City in Al-Fara’a. The ceremony was attended by the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, and the Vice President for Business and Community Partnership, Prof. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, with the participation of various colleges, deanships, departments, centers, and student clubs.
The ceremony saw a significant academic and administrative presence, alongside extensive student participation. His Excellency toured the exhibition booths and reviewed the content, which reflected the historical depth of Founding Day and its representation of the firm roots of the Saudi state since its inception. He also listened to briefings from students and supervisors regarding the diverse participations and their cognitive and cultural dimensions.
The exhibition included several accompanying activities, most notably: the Founding Exhibition, the Intangible Heritage Exhibition, the Founding Fashion Exhibition, the Culture and Arts Exhibition, and the Student Clubs Exhibition. Additionally, it featured an art exhibition, a display by the Department of History and Archaeology, and a gallery by the Aseer Region History Center. Contributions varied between interactive displays, heritage collectibles, artistic paintings, and student initiatives that embodied the national identity and the authenticity of Saudi heritage.
At the conclusion of the celebration, His Excellency the President of the University honored the winning students of the Founding Day competition, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Aseer Region History Center, where 15 male and female students were recognized along with the judging panel. His Excellency also honored the winners of the "Khallak Mubssir" (Be Insightful) competition, organized by the Strategy and Initiatives Department in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs. Furthermore, he honored the top five participating student clubs for their excellence in presenting content that reflects the national identity and highlights student creativity.
Simultaneously, events for the female section were held in the presence of the Consultant to the University President and Supervisor of Female Student Campuses, Prof. Kholoud bint Saad Abu Melha. She toured the participating booths and reviewed their details. The events witnessed high attendance and interaction from female students and staff, affirming the integrated celebration of this national occasion across both sections of the university.
