King Khalid University Council Holds 4th Meeting for Academic Year 1447 AH - King Khalid University

On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the University Affairs Council, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, chaired the fourth university council meeting for the academic year 1447 AH on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Shaddi, representing the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, along with members of the University Council.

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Hamed bin Majdou’ Al-Qarni, explained that the council reviewed the topics listed on its agenda and took several decisions. The council recommended the approval of the establishment of the Saudi Society for Modern Philosophy and approved service contracts with several international universities. Furthermore, the council adopted the recommendations of the Audit Committee from its 15th meeting for the fiscal year 2025, approved the addition of members to various college boards, and ratified the Intellectual Property Policy at King Khalid University.

The council also approved the detailed rules and procedures for the regulations governing financial affairs at the university in its amended form, in addition to approving amendments to several executive and organizational rules. Additionally, the council reviewed decisions made by the University President under delegated authority, which included the approval of scholarships, extensions, and completions for teaching assistants and lecturers, as well as granting academic degrees and appointing faculty members. The meeting concluded by discussing faculty-related matters such as service utilization, service transfers, early retirement, and sabbatical leaves.
