
With 5 Million Volunteer Hours... KKU Leads Saudi Universities in Activating Volunteer Work for the Year 2025 - King Khalid University
King Khalid University, represented by the General Directorate of Volunteerism and Community Partnership, won first place among Saudi universities at the Ministry of Education level in activating volunteer work for the year 2025. His Excellency the Minister of Education, Professor Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, crowned the University with the first place in the presence of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Falleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, during the activities of the Saudi and International Volunteer Day Forum organized yesterday by the Ministry of Education in Riyadh.
The Vice President for Business and Community Partnership, Prof. Abdullateef bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, expressed his happiness at the University winning first place among Saudi universities for two consecutive years, noting that this achievement reflects the continuous efforts of the University's various departments in fostering a culture of volunteerism, transforming it into a daily practice, and supporting the outcomes of volunteer work to enhance its community impact.
For his part, the General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Volunteerism and Community Partnership, Dr. Misfer bin Mohammed Al-Asmari, stated that this result came from the culmination of collaborative efforts and teamwork, as the University achieved approximately three thousand completed volunteer opportunities within one year, with the participation of over eighty thousand male and female volunteers, totaling five million volunteer hours, which achieved a 99% beneficiary satisfaction rate.
