KKU President Witnesses International Students' Day 2025 Celebration and Inaugurates "Cultures of Peoples" Exhibition - King Khalid University

His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Sulami, attended the university's celebration of International Students' Day 2025 on Tuesday morning. The event was part of a series of programs organized to celebrate International Students' Day and the International Day for Tolerance, aimed at promoting the values of coexistence, cultural diversity, and enhancing the presence of international students. The celebration was organized by the General Directorate of International Students in collaboration with several university departments at the Central Library in Al-Faraa.

The ceremony began with a visual presentation on the role of international students in enriching the university environment. Following this, Engineer Mohamed Bassam, an international graduate, spoke on behalf of the students, sharing his positive experience at KKU and acknowledging the supportive educational environment and the comprehensive academic, administrative, health, and social care provided by the university. Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khabiya, Supervisor of the General Directorate of International Students, emphasized the university's pride in hosting elite international students who represent added intellectual and cultural value. He affirmed the university's commitment to providing an integrated system that includes academic excellence, social care, and cultural depth, positioning international students as ambassadors between the Kingdom and their home countries.

The President inaugurated the "Cultures of Peoples" Exhibition, a major accompanying event. Students from various countries presented interactive booths showcasing aspects of their national cultures, including customs, traditional clothing, and popular foods, embodying the university's mission to enhance cultural understanding and coexistence.

The Intellectual Awareness Unit, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Institutional Communication, held a dialogue session titled "Tolerance: A Value for Life and a National Approach." Participants included specialists who discussed the jurisprudential and legal framework for tolerance in Islamic values, provided a deep reading of the historical evolution of tolerance in the Arab and Islamic history, and explored the civilizational dimension of tolerance in building a knowledge-based society based on mutual respect and openness.
