King Khalid University crowned its exceptional digital achievements in the field of e-learning by winning first place among higher education institutions in the Kingdom in the National Digital Education Index for the year 2024 – 2025, according to the results of the National Center for E-Learning (NCEL), achieving a percentage of 97.92%.

This National Index is one of the main initiatives led by NCEL to measure progress in digital education in the Kingdom and monitor the level of transformation toward flexible and effective educational environments that contribute to improving the quality of digital education and training in the governmental, private, and non-profit sectors, and raising the efficiency and integration of educational processes.

The index aims to enhance the readiness of the e-learning ecosystem by measuring the level of digital maturity of educational and training institutions and their compliance with national and international standards, keeping pace with global transformations in this field, and strengthening the ability of institutions to adapt to changes and innovate sustainable digital educational solutions.

The Vice Dean of Electronic Services for E-Learning, Dr. Adel Al-Surai'i, explained that this achievement is an extension of the university's efforts to enable digital transformation in education through the development of its technical infrastructure, the expansion of its digital educational services, and the adoption of the best global practices in e-course design, learning management, and quality assurance. This is in addition to investing in building digital human capabilities and activating the blended learning system that serves more than 60,000 beneficiaries inside and outside the university.
