His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Sulami, received an honor from the Digital Government Authority (DGA) in recognition of the university achieving third place among government entities in the Kingdom and first place among education and training institutions in the Government Digital Transformation Measurement Index, reaching the "Creativity" stage. The university was also honored among the distinguished entities in the National Institutional Architecture across the Kingdom, during the activities of the Digital Government Forum 2025 held in the capital, Riyadh, where he received the award from His Excellency the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Engineer Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Soyan.
This recognition coincides with the university achieving third place among government entities in the Kingdom and first place among educational and training bodies in the Website and Digital Content Efficiency Index for the year 2025, launched by the Digital Government Authority. The university's award for this distinction was received yesterday by the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Da'jam, in a new achievement that enhances the university's position and leadership in digital transformation and confirms its excellence in building a sustainable technological ecosystem based on efficiency, innovation, and the quality of digital services provided to beneficiaries.
This achievement is a culmination of the university's journey in strengthening its digital presence and developing the user experience across its electronic portals and digital platforms, aligning with the aspirations of smart government transformation, and reinforcing the principles of accessibility, quality, and interaction in providing electronic services. It also reflects the level of progress the university has made in the governance of digital systems, the integration of technical services, and the development of institutional content that serves beneficiaries, including students, staff, and visitors.
In the same context, the Dean of Electronic Services at King Khalid University, Dr. Hamed bin Saleh Al-Qahtani, received the Certificate of Excellence from the Digital Government Authority under the category of Best Digital Leader, in recognition of his efforts in promoting digital transformation and developing electronic platforms and services at the university. This award is one of the most prominent awards of the fourth edition of the forum and is granted to leaders who have made a tangible impact on developing digital work environments within their institutions through creativity in adopting technical solutions, raising the efficiency of electronic systems, and enabling technical integration between government entities.
Dr. Al-Qahtani expressed his pride in this recognition, stressing that the excellence achieved by the university in the paths of digital transformation is the fruit of the continuous support and follow-up of His Excellency the University President and the efforts of the work teams in the Deanship of Electronic Services and all academic and administrative sectors. He noted that this achievement represents an advanced stage of transformation towards a smart digital university that seeks to empower its beneficiaries through innovative technological solutions, automated services, and digital experiences that facilitate access, enhance performance efficiency, and support the sustainability of the educational and administrative system at the university.
