The sessions of the second day of the first edition of the "Institutional Excellence in University Education Forum," organized by King Khalid University, represented by the University's Agency for Administrative Affairs, kicked off and will continue for two days at the Exhibition and Convention Center on the university campus in Al-Fara'a.
The forum continued to present its scientific sessions with the participation of a select group of specialists and academics. The first session discussed topics on "Quality of University Life" and was chaired by the Vice-Presidnet of Um Al-Qura University, Prof. Fareed bin Ali Al-Ghamdi. Participants included the Secretary-General of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, Mr. Majid Ibrahim Al-Ghwiaz, who spoke about "Occupational Safety and Health." Also participating was the Dean of the College of Education at King Khalid University, Prof. Sami bin Musbih Al-Shehri, on "University Values and Quality of Life: Building an Academic Environment Where Wellness and Belonging Thrive." Furthermore, the Director of the Prince Sultan Center for Environmental and Tourist Research at King Khalid University, Dr. Rahmah bint Nasser Al Jarees, participated on "Saudi Green Universities: Choice or Obligation."
The second session of the forum was titled "The Digital Future of Universities" and was chaired by the Vice-President of Jazan University, Prof. Ahmed bin Al-Hassan Abu Talib. Speakers included the Director General of the Cybersecurity Innovation Center at Neom, Engineer Hussein bin Ali Al Dawood, who spoke about "The Digital Future and Cyber Threats." Dr. Waleed bin Abdulaziz Al Jandal, Director General of Digital Transformation and Information Security at the Royal Commission for Al-Salamah Reserve, also participated on "An Advanced Vision for University Transformation: Redefining Higher Education." In addition, Prof. Saleh bin Hilal Al Harbi from Shaqra University shared insights on "Universities as Engines for Digital Development."
Concluding the sessions, the third session was launched, titled "Reputation and Institutional Communication: Compliance, Legal Affairs," and was chaired by the Vice-President of Al-Baha University, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Sharafi. Participants included former Shura Council member Prof. Ali bin Ahmed Showail Al-Qarni on "University Media and Institutional Excellence," while the Dean of the College of Law at King Khalid University, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Hijri, spoke about "Legal Protection for Universities." Finally, former Shura Council member Dr. Sultan bin Saad Al Farh addressed "The Role of Review Departments and Committees in Enhancing Institutional Excellence."
