
King Khalid University Concludes the Summer Fellowship Program in Artificial Intelligence 2025 with Exceptional Research Outputs - King Khalid University
King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Artificial Intelligence Center within the University Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, concluded today the activities of the Summer Fellowship Program in Artificial Intelligence 2025. The program ran from July 1st until mid-August, with the participation of 42 trainees supervised by 14 supervisors from both inside and outside the University.
Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center at King Khalid University, explained that the program resulted in the production of 16 research projects in multiple fields such as health, energy, cybersecurity, education, culture, and industrial applications. The outputs of these projects were embodied in published scientific papers, papers under review, or papers ready for publication in specialized scientific journals, reflecting the high quality of the program and its keeping pace with global developments in artificial intelligence.
Al-Qahtani added that the program enhanced students' research skills and connected them with innovative practical experiences, which contributed to developing their abilities to utilize AI technologies for exceptional solutions. He also affirmed the University's role in supporting national competencies and elevating the level of scientific research in the Kingdom.
