
King Khalid University: Quality Participation in the International Forum for Saudi Universities Graduates in Nigeria and Surrounding Countries - King Khalid University
King Khalid University participated in the International Forum for Saudi Universities Graduates in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Surrounding Countries, held in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, under the slogan "Saudi University Graduates and Their Impact on Sustainable Development." It was organized by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with King Khalid, Tabuk, and Najran universities, and attended by Her Excellency the Minister of State for Education in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Suwaiba Saidu Ahmed, a number of representatives of the Kingdom's embassies and cultural attachés in African countries, a delegation from the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom, in addition to the participating universities, and with the participation of graduates from Nigeria, Chad, Mali, Cameroon, Gabon, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In this context, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, explained that the forum embodies the Kingdom's message of communication with its graduates all over the world, especially in the African continent, which represents a vital space rich in energies and opportunities. He added that the Kingdom, through its universities, has sought to build solid bridges with these graduates who received their education in an authentic Saudi academic environment, to return to their countries bearing the values of moderation and balance, and scientifically qualified to contribute to serving development.
For his part, the Vice President for Educational Affairs at King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, affirmed in his speech at the forum that the Kingdom has made education one of the most important pillars of national and global development, pointing out that the educational scholarships provided by Saudi universities have contributed to preparing scientific and professional leaders who have left a prominent impact on the development of their societies.
Bin Dajam explained that this cooperation embodies the active international presence of the Kingdom and its universities, and highlights the values upon which Saudi educational institutions were founded: consolidating moderation, spreading knowledge, and serving humanity, stressing that the forum represents an extension of this approach that links knowledge with social responsibility and strengthens the bridges of cooperation between the Kingdom and African countries.
The forum's activities, which spanned two days, included six scientific sessions and five diverse workshops that addressed the role of Saudi university graduates in promoting sustainable development in their countries, and contributed to discussing pivotal topics such as economic development, research identity, building educational institutions, investment in the endowment sector, and knowledge management.
This forum is an extension of a series of international forums organized by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with Saudi universities to enhance communication with its graduates in various countries around the world, and to affirm the global message of Saudi education based on leadership, knowledge, and humanity. King Khalid University continues its pioneering role in conveying the Kingdom's educational and developmental message and consolidating its scientific presence through its academic programs and partnerships that contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
