
KKU Hosts the Saudi Universities Table Tennis Championship - King Khalid University
The competitions for the 16th edition of the Saudi University Sports Federation's Table Tennis Championship kicked off. King Khalid University is hosting the event, which is organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with the Saudi University Sports Federation, from October 1 to 4, 2025.
More than (160) players representing (34) Saudi universities and colleges from various regions are participating. The four-day competitions are being held in the Sports Hall at the Al Fara'a University City, supervised by a staff of accredited referees.
In his speech for the occasion, Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahthtani, Dean of Student Affairs, affirmed the university's pride in hosting this major sporting event. He commended the support the Deanship receives from His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, and His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam. He noted that the championship's goals include highlighting students' talents and boosting their presence in various forums.
For his part, Dr. Saad Al-Qahtani, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, explained that the cooperation with the Saudi University Sports Federation contributed to organizing a comprehensive championship. He indicated that the events are not limited to matches but are integrated with educational programs and workshops aimed at raising students' sports and health awareness.
According to Al-Qahtani, the championship also includes accompanying activities such as 3 sports and health workshops, in addition to 3 promotional and exchange tournaments between the universities. These include the Open Squash Championship (organized by the Saudi Squash Federation), the Baloot Championship, and the E-Sports Championship, which together promote participation and diversity in activities.
