KKU Council Holds Its First Meeting for the Academic Year 1447 / 1448 and Approves the Educational Grants Guide - King Khalid University

On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of University Affairs, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, chaired the first meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1447 / 1448 this morning, Wednesday, in the presence of the Council members.

Prof. Hamid bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Secretary-General of the University Council, explained that the Council discussed a number of topics on the agenda and made the necessary decisions regarding them. These included approving the secondment, extension of secondment, termination of secondment, and attachment of a number of demonstrators and lecturers. Additionally, requests from some faculty members concerning the extension of service loans, transfers, and early retirement were considered.

Al-Qarni added that the Council adopted the recommendations of the Review and Investment Committees contained in their meeting minutes. It also approved the restructuring of the University's Investment Committee to enhance its efficiency in resource management and the development of investment returns. Furthermore, the Council approved the Educational Grants Guide as a regulatory reference to support the university's academic grant pathways, in addition to adopting the recommendations of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services Council across its various research and consultancy fields.
