
King Khalid University President Attends 95th National Day Celebration - King Khalid University
His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, attended the celebration held by the university on the occasion of the 95th National Day. The event was held at the Exhibition and Conference Center in the University City at Al-Fara'a, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with the General Directorate of Corporate Communication, and was attended by the university's Vice Rectors, faculty members, employees, and students.
The ceremony included a number of diverse national activities. His Excellency toured the Historical Exhibition organized by the Aseer Region History Center in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah). He also viewed the accompanying exhibition organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in which more than 25 student clubs from various university colleges and central clubs participated. These clubs showcased diverse national activities and programs in cultural, sports, scientific, technical, and social fields, in addition to arts, critical thinking, creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. His Excellency listened to a brief explanation from the participating students about their clubs' participation in the 95th National Day.
Following this, a panel discussion titled: "National Day 95: Historical Achievement and Future Making" was launched, organized by the Aseer Region History Center and moderated by Associate Professor of Modern and Contemporary History, Dr. Ali bin Jaber Al-Maliki. It featured an elite group of faculty members: Dr. Ali Abdulmutali, Head of the Accounting Department at the College of Business, who focused on the economic axis; Dr. Siham Al Haidar, Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics, who discussed heritage and culture; and Dr. Saad bin Fahd Al-Qahtani, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Research and Graduate Studies, who reviewed the axis of scientific research and innovation. The speakers discussed the historical national achievements and the future horizon under Saudi Vision 2030 and the role of universities in consolidating national identity and promoting development.
The celebration also featured visual presentations, performing arts, and a national operetta presented by the South Heritage Troupe, accompanied by five artistic scenes expressing the values of belonging and loyalty.
In a related context, the Advisor to the Rector and Supervisor of Female Students' Study Complexes, Prof. Khulod Abu-Malha, witnessed the female students' celebration of the 95th National Day, which was held at the theater of the University City for Female Students in Qariqar and included a variety of programs, exhibitions, and events.
