His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, affirmed that the university is continuously working to nurture its creative employees and provide a stimulating environment that enhances their abilities and supports their excellence on both academic and professional levels. He stressed that caring for promising talents is a fundamental pillar in the university's journey toward enhancing institutional competitiveness and innovation.
This came during His Excellency's inauguration of the "Miras" platform, which marked the launch of the project's first phase. The project aims to identify talented and capable faculty members and employees through a specialized digital platform and various tools, including open forums, internal competitions, and interactive surveys.
The project will be implemented in three main phases: The first is the talent discovery phase, followed by the skills development phase, which involves specialized workshops, interactive exhibitions, and creative initiatives. The third and final phase is empowerment, which allows for the inclusion of talented individuals in high-quality projects, offers internal fellowship and mini-leadership programs, and grants them digital badges to reflect their achievements.
The project also includes the establishment of the University Talent Club to serve as a permanent incubator for supporting innovators, activating guidance and mentorship programs to monitor their progress, and launching promotional and awareness initiatives to highlight the importance of discovering and investing in competencies.
The project is overseen by a joint committee comprising the General Department of Human Resources, the Department of Strategy and Initiatives, and the Deanship of Electronic Services, to ensure its goals are met according to a structured timeline spanning 2025 and 2026, with regular follow-ups and continuous performance evaluations.
