King Khalid University, represented by the College of Computer Science, recently launched the 2025 Summer Tech Camp in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as well as several leading national and international institutions in the technology field. The camp will run from July 13, 2025, to July 31, 2025.
Dr. Arij Mohammed Al-Asiri, Dean of the College of Computer Science at King Khalid University, confirmed that the camp has attracted significant interest from students, with nearly 1,000 applicants in the first stage.
Dr. Al-Asiri explained that the camp offers diverse training tracks covering programming, artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, the Internet of Things, digital manufacturing, and simulations of virtual and augmented reality, through intensive training programs that combine theoretical and practical aspects.
She added that organizing this camp in partnership with the Saudi Digital Academy, Tuwaiq Academy, KAUST Academy, Saudi Federation for Robotics and Wireless Sports, ZainTech, and SIXO Academy reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with leading institutions and providing a stimulating educational environment to discover national tech talents.
The camp aims to achieve several strategic and core objectives of the university, such as enhancing participants’ technical creativity, preparing them for the job market, identifying promising digital talents, and offering a comprehensive educational experience aligned with rapid developments in the digital field, contributing to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals of building a prosperous digital economy based on innovation.
