On behalf of His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Professor Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Sulami, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Professor Dr. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, attended the annual Eid al-Adha celebration organized by the university for the year 1446 AH at the Exhibition and Conference Center on the Al-Fara’a campus, in the presence of university vice presidents, deans, staff, and a number of students.
Dr. bin Dajam began his speech by extending his highest congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect them – on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and the successful completion of the Hajj season 1446 AH. He praised the Kingdom’s excellence in managing this season, which reflected the high administrative and organizational maturity achieved by national institutions in serving the guests of the Two Holy Mosques.
He also congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Chairman of its Development Authority, and his deputy, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Satam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, on Eid al-Adha, highlighting the promising development projects in the region, the latest of which was the successful second edition of the Investment Forum hosted by the university, which witnessed notable attendance and broad participation reflecting a bright future for the region.
Dr. bin Dajam expressed pride in the continuous efforts of university staff and students in achieving the university’s strategic objectives 2030, aligned with the Asir Region Development Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030. He appreciated the participation of students in serving Hajj pilgrims this year through two teams: the scouting team under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs and the volunteering team under the supervision of the University’s Vice Presidency for Community Partnership and Volunteering, represented by the General Administration of Volunteering and Community Partnership.
During the ceremony, Dr. bin Dajam, in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, honored the university staff and student volunteers who participated in serving the guests of the Two Holy Mosques, in recognition of their exceptional efforts and dedication in the field under the supervision of the General Administration of Volunteering and Community Partnership.
Simultaneously with the ceremony in Al-Fara’a, the university branch in Tihamah held its Eid celebration at the Applied College Theater in Mahayel Asir, while the female section organized a celebration at the Academic Complex in Abha “Quraiger,” attended by the University President’s Advisor supervising female student campuses, Professor Dr. Kholoud Abu Malha. During the female ceremony, Dr. Abu Malha honored medical students Daren Ali Mohammed Al-Qahtani and Nardeen Ali Mohammed Al-Qahtani for their noble humanitarian act in helping save a citizen in Khamis Mushait by directing one of the men present on how to assist the injured and coordinating with the Red Crescent and the citizen’s family—a noble humanitarian stance reflecting the teachings of Islam and the values of our great nation.
