College of Education at King Khalid University Celebrates 1446 Academic Year Achievements and Honors Success Partners - King Khalid University

The College of Education at King Khalid University concluded its academic and training programs for the academic year 1446 AH with a ceremony held at the Exhibition and Conference Center in the University City in Al-Faraa. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Sami bin Musbeh Al-Shahri, along with college vice-deans, heads of departments, faculty members, college staff, and graduating students.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Prof. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Asiri, Vice-Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, delivered a speech emphasizing that the College of Education serves as a fundamental pillar in building human capabilities. He noted that the college this year was keen on developing its programs and achieving integration in its academic and administrative performance, thereby enhancing its position in serving education and society. He also highlighted the college's efforts in attracting international students, completing the accreditation of all its academic programs, and its participation in international scientific forums that elevate its standing among higher education institutions.

Following this, a video was screened showcasing the college's most significant achievements during the academic year 1446, both nationally and globally. Globally, the college achieved 126th place worldwide and 1st nationally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject for 2025. It also secured 54th place globally in the Education index. The college ranked 1st nationally and 44th in Asia in the AD Scientific Index, in addition to significant progress in QS rankings indicators regarding scientific publications, citations, and the reputation of graduates and academic staff. The percentage of publications in global databases increased by over 73%, and several faculty members participated in international scientific conferences and training programs, including an international program in Singapore and a visit to Nanyang Technological University, as well as authoring and translating books with international publishing houses.

Nationally, the college completed the accreditation of 15 academic programs and witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements with educational and developmental bodies. It also hosted official delegations from the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, in addition to implementing qualitative initiatives such as the launch of the research roadmap, the scientific theses guide, and an experimental study in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the University of Chicago. The college also had an active presence in several community events and national occasions, and organized qualitative educational and training activities, through which it supported its vision of developing academic performance and serving the community.

Subsequently, the graduating student Dr. Hassan Mohammed Al-Ghanmi delivered a speech on behalf of his colleagues, expressing profound gratitude and appreciation to the college administration and faculty members. He affirmed that the college's educational environment provided them with a genuine space for acquiring knowledge and skills, and that their academic achievements were an extension of collective efforts where guidance, support, and motivation roles were integrated. He also urged his colleagues to continue learning and developing, and to uphold the mission carried by College of Education graduates in serving society, building individuals, and actively participating in achieving the nation's aspirations. He specifically thanked everyone who stood by them throughout their academic journey.

The ceremony included several honoring segments. The college recognized supporting entities that contributed to its activities, faculty members who participated in the international training program in Singapore, as well as honoring former academic leaders, retired faculty members, and programs that received academic accreditation. Faculty members serving on college committees and units were also honored in appreciation of their contributions to organizing and implementing various college activities.
