King Khalid University, represented by the College of Dentistry, participated in the regional conference of the International Dental Federation and the Saudi International Dental Conference FDI SIDC 2025, which concluded its activities and was held in Riyadh from January 16 to 18.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Al-Qarni, explained that the College is keen to enhance its scientific, research, and professional presence at prestigious forums and conferences, pointing out that the staff and students of the College are an important part of the works and achievements of national, regional, and international scientific conferences and forums.
The conference, which was held for the first time in partnership with the International Dental Federation and the Saudi Dental Association, gathered more than 5000 specialists and researchers from around the world. King Khalid University had a prominent presence through the staff of the College of Dentistry, who achieved notable scientific accomplishments reflecting the university’s progress in scientific research. In the Young Research competition, Dr. Juman Al-Humaid and Dr. Fatima Al-Ziad won first place under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Majed Al-Touman, while Dr. Rahaf Al-Shahrani, Dr. Ahmed Hussein Al-Saleh, and Dr. Nora Al-Sheikh won third place under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Mohamed Khamran. In the Case Presentation competition, Dr. Manar Al-Omari and Dr. Ghadee Al-Shahrani won third place, under the supervision of Dr. Majed Al-Touman. Additionally, the College presented seven outstanding scientific papers in the Poster & Poster Presentation section, covering the latest developments in various dental specialties. King Khalid University’s achievements were not limited to scientific competitions; its staff also played a pivotal role in organizing the conference, with Dr. Abdullah Al-Muthami representing the Saudi Root Canal and Nerve Treatment Association, and Dr. Khalid Nasser Al-Musa and Dr. Manar Al-Omari representing the Saudi Prosthodontics Association, demonstrating the professional excellence of the university's staff at international forums.
