His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect them, following the issuance of the royal decree appointing him as President of King Khalid University. He highlighted the support and care extended to the education sector in the Kingdom, much like other sectors of the state.
Al-Solami also extended his gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir region and Chairman of its Development Authority, and to His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the region, as well as to His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Universities Affairs Council, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan. He acknowledged the significant attention given to King Khalid University, which has enabled it to fulfill its national role and work towards achieving global competitiveness in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Al-Solami emphasized the pivotal role the university must play in continuing its mission of serving the community and contributing to national development. He noted the great responsibility on the university and its staff to keep pace with the qualitative progress seen across various sectors of the state. He also prayed for God's assistance for himself, the university staff, and its students in serving the nation and meeting the aspirations of the wise leadership.
