On behalf of His Excellency, the Minister of Education, the Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, chaired the tenth meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1445. in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council of University Affairs, Prof. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, alongside members of the University Council.
The university’s Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, explained that the council reviewed the meeting’s agenda and made decisions accordingly, which include the University's President authorization, Scholarship approvals, extensions and terminations, in addition to approving a number of bachelor study plans and early withdrawal points for each program.
The agenda also included admission cancellation for health and engineering programs and adopting the proposed mechanisms for admission to the health and the engineering track according to the specific study and allocation regulations.
Al-Qarni added that the council approved the exemption of a number of male and female scholarship students for the master's and PHD degrees from the age condition, and adopted the executive regulations of the medical city and university hospitals. As well as re-forming the Scientific Council, and approving the project for developing the performance of the university in international classifications (2024-2026).
The council also approved the plan for extracurricular activities for the university 1446AH, and approved the extension of services and appointment, scientific connection, resignation, and transfer of services for a number of faculty members, and approved cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding with a number of entities.
